INTRODUCTION
The company was established in January 1997, to do all types of land survey in the state of Qatar. From the beginning, the company is depending on the latest survey technology such as instruments, and survey software as well as GIS mapping.
The company, under the sponsorship and management by Qatari nationals, as a first step applied for the registration in the survey section, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture in the state of Qatar. The company was able to pass the exams promoted as a registered company for land survey in state of Qatar during the first quarter of 1997.
Who we are
Concord Surveying Works Co. is a leading name in the land surveying in state of Qatar. The company had grown continually over a period of six years with the name becoming synonymous with reliability, quality and innovation. Many of the most prestigious companies and organizations in the country have come to rely on complete range of specialist skills whether in the housing, roads or agricultural sectors of its management, which supported by highly qualified professionals in all fields of surveying. The company has always recognized that its staff is one of its greatest assets; graduates a re encouraged to develop within company, so that in time they come to occupy key positions. A tota I of over 125 staff are currently employed on wide range of projects.
Meeting Client Needs
CSW recognized that the clients demands are increasingly looking for superior performance in project delivery, seeking high quality work without delay. CSW provides its clients with unrivalled support through its technical and managed support teams. CSW used the latest in advanced computerized techniques in surveying works such as robotic total station, DGPS with Qatar CORS which provide fast, accurate and reliable solution, Establishment of TBM and PPM for surveying projects.
The main subjects that CSW deals with:
- Field Survey (Topographic survey).
- Underground utility detection.
- Cadastral survey.
- GIS mapping.
- lmage Scanning.
- Aerial survey using UAV.
- Bathymetric survey.
Topographic Survey
A topographic survey is made to secure data from which may be made a topographic map indicating the shape of the terrain and the location of natural and human-made objects.
Underground
Surveying of underground utilities such as buried pipes could be done using the RD8000 device and other Radar penetrating waves. Buried pipes and Surveying utilizes the principles of control, land, geophysics, and topographic surveying to control, locate and map underground and surface pipes.
Cadastral
Cadastral Surveying is that branch of surveying which is concerned with the survey and demarcation of land for the purpose of defining parcels of land for registration in a land registry.
Remote Sensing
Is the science and art of obtaining information about an object, area, or phenomenon through the analysis of data acquired by a device that is not in contact with the object. The subject of remote sensing from space is rapidly changing one, with numerous countries. CSW uses the different satellite images (Spot, QB, WV2) with different resolution for many applications such as City planning, Classification of different objects, Environment, Digital mapping and for GIS applications.
G.l.S.
Geographic information systems are computer based systems that can deal with virtually any type of information about features that can be referenced by geographical location. These systems are capable of handling both location data and attribute data about such features. Much of the power of a GIS comes from the database management system that is designed to store and manipulate these attribute data. CSW can apply all survey works not just in AutoCAD format but in GIS format with complete data base for decision makers.
Aerial Survey. Photogrammetry
One of the most common, versatile, and economical forms of remote sensing is aerial photography. Historically most aerial photography has been film based. In recent years, however, digital photography has become increasingly widely used. Aerial photography gives a bird’s eye view of large areas, enabling us to see earth surface features in their spatial location. CSW now will use the UAV aerial photos technique. In this technique CSW can get a resolution of 1 cm with lOOm flying height, and can build also the DTM directly with very accurate results.
Strata Survey
How to define the boundary of Strata Unit? Distance of outer to outer that are not common wall to another unit or otherwise the median of wall is to be consider as boundary common to each other.
Unless otherwise is specifically required the boundaries of strata unit should follow features such as the inner surfaces, median plane, or outer surface walls, floors and ceilings.
Hydrographic Survey
Is the science of measurement and description of features which affect maritime navigation, marine construction, dredging, offshore oil exploration/drilling and related activities Strong emphasis is placed on soundings, shorelines, tides, currents, sea floor and submerged obstructions that relate to the previously mentioned activities. The term hydrograph is sometimes used synonymously to describe cartography of water bed, which in the final stages of the hydrographic process uses the raw data collected through hydrographic survey into information usable by the end user. Hydrographic survey is collected under rules which vary depending on the acceptance authority. Traditionally conducted by ships with a sounding line or echo sounding, surveys are increasingly conducted with the aid of aircraft and sophisticated electronic sensor systems in shallow waters.
Geodetic Surveying
That type of surveying which takes into account the true shape of the earth is defined as geodetic surveying. The data of the various geodetic surveys are of great importance because they furnish precise points of reference (GCP), to which the multitude of surveys of lower precision may be need.
Building Surveying
Building 30 laser scanning
As-built surveys using 3D laser scanning technology, provide users with detailed point clouds which enable 3D modeling for diverse tasks including building reconstruction, plant layout and enhanced data presentation with augmented reality.
Measured Building Surveying
A building survey is created from measurements taken with a hand held laser distance measuring device and a tablet computer. An accurate as-built survey provides an important tool to manage the building as it is under construction and after it has been completed.
Building Condition Survey
A Condition Survey provides an assessment of physical property conditions, and to identify building deficiencies.
Interior components projection
Whether ceiling grid or project layout for floors or walls. We can projects your design onto any surface point for point.
